Devon produces a wealth of delicious produce and this constitutes the main ingredients of the Bedford’s varied menus. Fish and seafood is caught by local fishermen daily and local crab and lobster come from throughout the region. Many of the other ingredients are quite literally home grown.
Formal meals are served in the dining room, but if you'd like a light lunch or snack visit Pynes Bar for a more informal atmosphere.

Proprietor and Chef Neil Harding established Neil's Restaurant in June 2000 in order to offer the very best of fresh fish and shellfish from Devon's famed coastal waters in an informal and contemporary atmosphere. With over 20 years experience as a chef at some of the county's premier eateries, Neil, along with his dedicated team, quite literally bring innovative and quality cooking to the table, combining it with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and friendly but expert service.

Brown's Wine Bar is a small, intimate venue offering food of a quality that is several notches above other venues in the town. Popular with residents and visitors alike. During the summer months, Brown's is filled with tourists to the town, while throughout the rest of the year, local residents use it as a drinking and dining destination later on in the evening. The menu changes daily and offers a range of fresh fish and meat dishes at reasonable prices. Standard items such as lasagne are always available.

A light, airy and spacious restaurant in a country house style with crisp table linen and fresh flowers in abundance, overlooking the beautiful award winning gardens. Contemporary English Cuisine born from a commitment to use only the freshest ingredients supplied wherever possible from the West Country. To guarantee freshness, a wide selection of seafood is delivered daily from Brixham and select cuts of meat or game come from our butcher's herd.

The oak panelled restaurant, overlooking the sea & Esplanade, retains high standards of traditional silver service, whilst offering personal & caring attention. The menus, which combine the best of both classic and modern cuisine, are prepared using fresh local produce by our highly regarded head chef, Mark Leavers and his team. The elegant Faulkner Lounge Bar is open each evening for drinks before dinner. Entertainment, including music for dancing is offered on several nights each week.

The Swan is a modest, cosy cottage inn that might best be described as a country pub in the heart of Sidmouth. We always serve at least three real ales, including Charles Wells Bombadier and Branoc, a very popular bitter from local brewers, Branscombe Vale. They also brew 'King of Chit', a weaker but tasty ale, exclusively for the Swan.

They have an excellent reputation for food, with a particular emphasis upon fresh fish, supplied daily to the pub. It is often advisable to book.
